Jonathan's Ginger Spice Cookies - What a Difference a Day Makes
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Sift the flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, ground cloves and salt into a mixing bowl. Then stir the mixture to blend evenly. Set aside.
  3. Place the butter into a mixing bowl and beat until creamy. Gradually beat in the white sugar and the brown sugar. Beat in the egg and molasses.
  4. Next, sift in one-third of the flour mixture into butter mixture, stirring to blend thoroughly. Sift remaining flour mixture into the mixing bowl until soft dough forms.
  5. Pinch off small amounts of dough and roll into 1-inch balls. Once formed, roll ball into the cinnamon sugar.
  6. Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake about 10 minutes. Tops will round and may crack lightly.
  8. Cool cookies on cooling grid.
