Happy Fall, Y’all!!

On a cool, crisp fall day, or in the dead of winter, there’s nothing like a warm, delicious pot of chili!

Our family is working on an always evolving and improving chili recipe.  We’ve tried other versions, but keep coming back to the basics of this one version.

Epic Ultimate Chili
This hearty chili is a favorite with our family and guests. With an abundance of spices, beans and meat, it is even better the next day.

Ultimate Chili Recipe from the Days
Instructions
  1. Combine ground beef, ground chuck and sausage with garlic, onions and bell pepper. Cook on medium heat until meat is browned. Drain.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix oregano, sugar, flour, chili powder, paprika, and coriander. Add to meat mixture, and mix thoroughly. Cover and simmer for about an hour, stirring occasionally as needed.
  3. Add tomatoes, kidney beans and chili beans. Simmer for twenty more minutes until thoroughly heated, and flavors are mixed.
  4. Serve with crackers, cornbread, corn chips, grated cheese, and/or sour cream as desired.

    Great recipe, I would likely cook up the meat and throw all the ingredients in the crockpot before heading to work. The house would smell so good when we got home and a delicious chili would be waiting for us!
